Peachtree City police are investigating the death of two men on Tuesday.
Joey Corvino Jr., 24, of Peachtree City and Richard Deraney Jr., 26, of Fayetteville were both found unresponsive at a house on Clifton Lane around 10:00 a.m.
CPR was initiated by a family member as well as the responding police officers.
They were both taken to Fayette Piedmont Hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Corvino and Deraney possibly suffered from a fatal drug overdose; however, the investigation is still ongoing.
Their bodies were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for autopsies to determine the cause or causes of death.
As a part of the death investigation, officers searched the residence and found several drug related items and building code violations.
Timothy Ruberg, Andrea Ruberg, Benjamin Ruberg, Chelsea Markowitz, Sarah Ruberg, all of Clifton Lane, Peachtree City were given citations for possession of marijuana less one ounce. Ruberg was also issued a citation for obstruction of an officer.
Fayette County Animal Control has been asked to investigate the living conditions of the various animals that were located in the house.
Peachtree City Police Code Enforcement Officers responded and issued a “Notice of Violation” for multiple building code violations.
